The Fabrications Site Supervisor will support our client's current fabrication team in their fabrication facility in Scarva. This post is a permanent position and offers amazing opportunities for any successful candidate who wishes to gain experience within a progressive and dynamic company. With their Head Office based in Banbridge, our client specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of Off-site Prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout Ireland and the UK.

High Level Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking Goods in and out.
  • Full control over all Employees on site.
  • Manage and schedule workload accordingly in the fabrication facilities.
  • Liaise with Fabrication Co-ordinator to establish the requirements for each project.
  • Liaise with Team Leaders within the Fabrication Facility.
  • Liaise with Fabrication Manager in relation to Labour resources/requirements/training needed.
  • Provide weekly progress report on each project to the Fabrication Manager and Co-ordinator.
  • Read and fully understand the construction drawings for each project.
  • Plan deliveries through dispatch and Logistics.
  • Participate and provide support to the Fabrication Manager with the interview/hiring process.
  • Deliver and complete site inductions, toolbox talks, safety inspections and ensuring overall site safety is up-kept.
  • Ensure company Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintaining quality control procedures.
  • Ensuring Weld kits are ready for Fabrication.
  • Complete a daily handover with the Backshift Supervisor.
  • Ensure waste management procedures are adhered to onsite.
  • Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and developed alongside Production Co-ordinator.
  • Update the skills matrix, continuous improvement plan for the Site with the Fabrication Manager.
  • Daily quality checks on Fabricated items and these being recorded.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must have at least 3 years' experience as a fabricator, preferably in a site-based environment.
  • Must have at least 1 year experience as Supervisor within a yard or site-based environment.
  • Experience of carrying out weld inspections.
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate Microsoft Office & Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with a varied portfolio of work.
  • Full UK Driving License.
