We are delighted to be recruiting for general operatives for our local client based in the outskirts of Derry/L\’Derry, who is a global leader in their field. Successful candidates will work on rotational shifts 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am on a full time, temporary, ongoing basis. Key Duties: Ensure safe working practices are adhered to including the appropriate use of PPE Acquire knowledge of procedures, work instructions, and associated forms Learn to operate converting machinery and ancillary equipment Assist with on-the-job training so that employees can be up-skilled to operate equipment in line with specified quality requirements Work closely with the Lead Operator Promptly identify any problems which arise which may interfere with production schedules and liaise with relevant personnel to resolve Ensure cleanliness of machines Contribute to continuous improvement in manufacturing performance What We Need From You: Maths and English GCSE or equivalent Previous manufacturing experience Knowledge of production and quality systems Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work independently and collaboratively Analytical thinking and problem solving skills Strong organisational and communication skills This is an immediate vacancy.
