Opportunities have arisen for several Fabricator / Welder type roles including Robot Welding , to work either a Day shift or Backshift dependent on the role.
The client is an industry leader in UK's Building Services sector in Scarva , delivering a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.

Job Summary
We require experienced Fabricators to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements to support a team of skilled welders. As a fabricator the successful candidates will be required to be on site each day within the fabrication/welding facility, fabricating pipe arrangements from shop drawings.

The ability to produce some or all types of welds, i.e., TIG, MMA and MAG for assembly purposes would be required with the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to numerous welding disciplines and in house welding procedures.

Dayshift: Mon: Thurs 7am – 5pm, Fri 7am – 4pm
or
Backshift: Mon -Thurs 4.45pm – 03.45am

Salary: Competitive depending on experience, 18% uplift for the Backshift.

Key Responsibilities vary per role but generally include:

  • Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm – 500mm) from shop drawings.
  • Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
  • Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
  • Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard.

Essential Criteria is also dependent on the role:

  • Previous experience in Fabrication or welding with general and pipe welding.
  • Experienced working with various ferrous and nonferrous metals, pipes, flanges, and other components to complete various arrangements.
  • The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
  • Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings

Desired Criteria

  • Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements.
  • Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment.
  • Experienced operating any of the following machines, Pipe Beveller, Plasma Cutter, Press Brake, TIG, MIG and MAG Welders and welding ancillaries, rotators etc.).
