The Role
Wrightbus is currently hiring Vehicle Installation Electricians to work on the installation and testing of chassis and body electrical control systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise to ensure all electrical components are installed, tested, and functioning correctly according to customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, modify, and test vehicle electrical control systems following technical documentation.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation.
- Route and connect various cable types, including high-voltage connections up to 800V AC/DC.
- Use diagnostic software to identify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults.
- Perform commissioning and testing of electrical systems as per Quality Assurance documentation.
- Maintain strict compliance with health and safety policies in the workshop.
- Ensure all installations are completed within allocated timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
- Undertake training and upskilling as needed, including training others when required.
- Be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
Essential Criteria
- Time-served electrician with experience in automotive, domestic, or industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to work on systems up to 600V AC/DC.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
- Experience in routing and connecting electrical components.
