The Opportunity and Company

Our client a top ten accounting firm globally is currently recruiting for their growing Belfast team – this is a fantastic opportunity to join a global company with a focus on providing tailored solutions to support their clients! The ideal candidate will be degree-educated and looking to start their finance career with a global leader or an experienced administrator looking to join a reputable organization with fantastic opportunities for personal/ career development.

Main Tasks

  • Managing accounting records, including the cash book, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and general ledger.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations.
  • Arranging for bank payments and transfers and banking of client receipts.
  • Liaising with third parties on behalf of clients e.g. insurance companies, and banks.
  • Produces accurate accounting records and other work sets (attention to detail/quality, managing self).
  • Organised and methodical in approach to ensure all tasks are completed according to deadlines set (managing self, goal/results focus).
  • Accountabilities/Key Performance
  • Client deadlines are understood and adhered to.

Criteria

  • 1-2 years of experience within a similar role or a graduate with a placement year would be ideal.
  • Motivated to provide the highest quality service to clients.
  • Self-motivated and organized. Able to plan own time ensuring targets and deadlines are achieved.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and systems is not essential but useful.
  • Suggests ways to improve current processes and procedures in place.
  • Able to work well with peers to assist in achieving common goals while also being able to work on your initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Aware of client needs with the ability to act quickly to resolve issues clearly and concisely.
