Our Banbridge based Client have an opportunity for an Industrial Grit Blaster / Abrasive Blasting Technician to work within their surface preparation division. This will be an opportunity to work at a State-of-the-art surface preparation and protective coatings workshop and make a real contribution to the ongoing success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Power wash components to remove contamination where necessary.
- Protect machine surfaces and mask any areas not requiring surface preparation and protection.
- Shotblast surfaces to the required profile.
- Abrasive cleaning of metal surfaces to remove debris/paint.
- Read, understand and implement risk assessments and safe working practices/ procedures safely and efficiently.
- Follow the schedule communicated by the Supervisor and Manager.
- Maintain tools and equipment daily.
Essential Criteria
- Metal Grit Blasting Experience.
- Blast Booth Experience.
- Blast Surface Inspection Experience.
Desirable Criteria
- Surface Preparation Formal Qualifications.
- Coatings Inspector.
