Job Title: Control Room Operator Location: Mitie | Mitec, 1st Floor, Unit 9, Silverwood Business Park, 70 Silverwood Road, Lurgan, Craigavon, County Armagh, BT66 6SY Hourly Rate: £12.60 p/h (uplift for night shifts will apply) Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am Contract Type: Full time, permanent About the Role We are looking for a highly proactive and reliable Control Room Operator to join our team. Working in a fast-paced environment, you\’ll be the first point of contact for a range of operational activities, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our services 24/7. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to incoming telephone calls and emails from clients, field staff, and internal departments. Schedule and allocate tasks, ensuring appropriate coverage and compliance with operational requirements. Monitor and manage systems to track performance and workforce activity. Escalate any service issues or incidents in line with procedures. Maintain accurate records and logs of all communications and activities. Proactively identify and resolve issues before they escalate. Collaborate with colleagues and departments to ensure continuity of service. What We\’re Looking For Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Confident using IT systems including email, scheduling software, and internal databases. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. A proactive, can-do attitude with a problem-solving mindset. Previous experience in a control room, helpdesk, or scheduling environment is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided. Essential Applicants must have a 5-year checkable history. You must successfully pass a PSNI check as per BS5979 and BS7858 screening as per industry standard.
