Staffline Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with Pilgrim's Europe, one of the UK's top 15 food companies, Northern Ireland's largest private sector business and one of Europe's leading poultry producers. We are currently offering a temporary ongoing role for Carousel/Hygiene Operatives in Randalstown Mill.
The Mill Operative works as a member of a team within the Mill, reporting to the production manager. Effective liaison, team working and communication/interaction with other operatives, supervisory staff and external bodies are essential.
Duties:
- Micro bin filling
- Yard duties
- Confined space bin/silo cleaning
- Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout Mill and premises
- Maintenance on equipment
- Grinder/rollermill maintenance and hygiene
- Changing filters
- Spraying disinfectants and chemicals
- Operate fork truck, pallet truck, stacker, industrial scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker
- Highlight any problems with machinery to the maintenance team
- Ensuring all paperwork completed
- Cleaning enrober, boots and chutes
- Carousel stocktaking
- Cleaning of intake pits, weighers/mixers, coolers and under hoppers
- Ensuring all COSHH, Biosecurity, H/S and Environmental regulations are adhered to
- Prioritising and maintaining biosecurity controls on the site
- Any other duties that may be required by the Management
The job is performed in a warm mill environment and involves carrying out a physically active role. The job requires manual handling duties, for example lifting 25kg bags. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in confined spaces. The employee is required to operate effectively as part of a team.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a production environment
- Ability to operate a computerised production control system
