The Opportunity

We have a new fantastic opportunity with a Boutique Accountancy practice based in Bangor looking for an Accounting Technician to join their growing team – this is a great opportunity for a candidate who holds an ATI qualification or someone currently undertaking their Accounting Technician qualification.

You will join a small team and take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping for the practice preparing VAT returns and performing bank reconciliations. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have prior experience utilising cloud-based accounting software (i.e. Xero).

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily bookkeeping tasks across a range of client accounts.
  • Complete VAT returns and carry out bank reconciliations.
  • Communicate directly with clients to maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
  • Work with cloud accounting tools such as Xero and Dext.

Criteria

  • Demonstrated background in bookkeeping or as an account's technician.
  • Solid experience using accounting software, particularly Xero and Dext.
  • High level of accuracy and strong organisational abilities.
  • Clear communicator with a strong client service mindset.
  • ATI qualification is an advantage or currently studying towards it.
