Staffline is recruiting a Data Analyst on behalf of our public‑sector client, DHCNI. The post‑holder will join the Analytics and Insight team, supporting work that underpins the reform of Health and Social Care services and the development of Multi‑Disciplinary Teams as outlined in Health and Wellbeing 2026: Delivering Together. This role involves collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to identify improvement opportunities, support decision‑making, and enhance service delivery across HSC. The Data Analyst will study information from multiple sources, assess data quality, identify trends and patterns, and work with stakeholders to improve data standards and reporting accuracy. The successful candidate will contribute to a large‑scale transformation programme aimed at improving mental, physical, and social wellbeing by enabling a modern, integrated and preventative health and social care system.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Analytics and Insight team to deliver high‑quality analysis and reporting.
  • Collect, study, and interpret data from varied sources to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain, interrogate, and quality‑check databases and information systems.
  • Assess the quality, completeness, and accuracy of data and work with stakeholders to improve data standards.
  • Produce meaningful reports, summaries, dashboards, and presentations to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
  • Support the development of data systems and tools used within MDT programmes and wider HSC service reform.
  • Ensure all work complies with data security, confidentiality, and information governance standards.
  • Communicate analytical insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including training staff on new systems or processes where required.

Qualifications

(one of the following)

Option A: Degree in Computing, Information Technology, Information Management, or a related field, plus one year’s relevant experience in information analysis.

OR

Option B: Three years’ experience in information analysis or a closely related discipline.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience maintaining and interrogating databases and information systems with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills, with experience producing meaningful reports and presentations.
  • Experience applying data quality assurance principles, standards, and methods.
  • Strong understanding of data security, confidentiality, and information governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to train and support users of developed systems and analytical tools.
