We are looking for reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers to join our client's team on a permanent basis in Newton Aycliffe. You'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across the UK, ensuring compliance with all road transport legislation and company policies. The rate of pay is £40,000 per annum. This is a full-time role working on a Monday to Friday basis, with start times between 19.45 and 23.50pm. You will need to hold an ADR Licence.
Your Time at Work
- Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety
- Involves store deliveries and cage work
- Ensure safe and secure loading
- Drive safely and practice fuel-efficient driving
- Perform regular walk-around inspections
- Deliver a high standard of customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation
Our Perfect Worker Candidate Requirements:
- Valid CE (Class 1) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- ADR License
- Strong understanding of EU Drivers' Hours and WTD legislation
- No more than 6 points on licence (no TT, DD, or DR codes)
- Professional, safety-first mindset and excellent communication skills
- Must have at least 6 months of experience
