Great opportunity to work as a Machine Operative for our client, packing from nuts to salad, citrus, top fruit, grapes and blueberries. Staffline is recruiting Machine Operatives to work in Thrapston.
The rate of pay is:
- 0-12 weeks, £13.20 per hour
- 13-26 weeks, £13.65 per hour
- 27+ weeks, £14.05 per hour
This is a full-time role and the hours of work are:
- Week 1: 6am-6pm Monday, Thursday and Friday
- Week 2: 6am-6pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
Your Time at Work
As a Machine Operator, your duties include:
- Use trained skills to complete all tasks assigned and ensure that quality products are produced for customers
- Use trained skills to physically build up machines on multiple production lines
- Conduct system set-up and calibration
- Complete safe and legal paperwork and checks, monitor machines throughout the day to ensure efficient running
- Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure the working area is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Complete tasks as efficiently as possible in order to reduce waste and downtime and maximise overall equipment effectiveness and reduce giveaway, reporting all issues to a member of the management team
- Handle and package products in accordance with all relevant Food Safety standards
- Comply with company policy, including Health and Safety, Security, Hygiene standards and cleaning schedules, product specifications
- Work in a flexible and friendly way with colleagues and the management team, sharing knowledge and experience, speaking up where there are issues, helping to remove barriers, creating moments that matter for your colleagues and making the site a place everyone can enjoy working in
- Work flexibly to support all areas of the business where required to ensure service levels are met
