Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Picker for one of the largest providers of plants to major supermarket chains throughout the UK. Staffline is recruiting for Warehouse Pickers to work in Chatteris. From 04th March until 14th March, FREE Transport is available from Peterborough.

The rates of pay are:

  • Day Shift £13.26 per hour
  • Overtime is available after working 48 hours and paid £16.58 per hour

As a Warehouse Picker, you will be required to work on a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on 4 off shift pattern with additional overtime days offered but not expected. The shifts for this position are:

  • Line Supply Pickers - 7am-6.30pm
  • Despatch Pickers - 8am-6.30pm

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Picker at this site, you will be:

  • Working in a chilled environment (approximately 3°C)
  • Supplying production lines with plants and required packaging materials
  • Responsible for allocating stock to stock locations
  • Responsible for moving and transferring stock to other departments and re-allocating finished goods
  • Expected to undertake additional tasks and provide support to other areas as needed, in line with your training

This role will include the use of handheld scanning equipment. You will need to be happy with chilled environments and working on your feet for 12 hours per day. Some manual handling may be required for weights of up to 20kg.

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Picker will need to be able to communicate and understand basic English, be hard-working and have a good level of detail and focus to ensure mistakes are kept to a minimum. Experience in a similar role as a Picker/Warehouse Operative is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Please note: Before starting your shift at the Chatteris site, you will be required to complete 1 to 2 days of training at the Alconbury site.
