Great opportunity to work as a QA Technician for our client's food manufacturing site. Staffline is recruiting a QA Technician in Batley.
The rate of pay is:
- Nights £17.10 per hour
- Weekend days £16.92 per hour
- Weekend nights £18.63 per hour
This is a full-time role working Nights, Monday - Thursday, Weekend Days - Saturday & Sunday, Weekend Night Friday - Sunday. The hours of work are:
- 10pm to 7am
- 7am to 7pm Friday
- 10pm to 7am, Saturday & Sunday
- 7pm to 7am
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the finished product and WIP product comply with the specifications and customer-specific QAS
- Conducting manual weight checks where required
- Preparing test packs as required
- Attending QAS panels and recording results
- Managing and reviewing retained samples
- Sampling, logging and collecting microbiological and allergen samples
- Carrying out GMP and compliance audits. This includes weight control, CCP/QCP, GMP, glass and plastic, factory paperwork, plaster checks and facility audits
- Completing complaint investigations
- Conducting hygiene inspections, sign off and swabbing for positive release
- Raising non-conformances and fully executing the hold and disposition procedure. This includes raw material, intermediate and finished product inspections
- Carrying out traceability and mass balance exercises, including "out of hours" traceability, where the business requires
- Reporting, recording and supporting the investigation of foreign matter incidents
- Completing calibration checks according to schedule
- Supporting the raw material intake process, ensuring full compliance to the specification
- Supporting and attending first production runs as required
- Supporting the site in preparation for audits and visits
- Filing and archiving paperwork
- Completing any other reasonable task as required by the business

Previous experience in a Quality Assurance Auditor/Food Manufacturing role would be advantageous but not essential as full training is provided.
