We are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a busy food distribution operation based in Barnsley. This role involves store deliveries of ambient, chilled, and frozen goods, with full training provided.
Start between 12:00 & 22:00
- Night shifts (Overtime applicable after 40 hours)
Pay Rates:
- Monday to Friday £21.73 Per Hour
- Monday to Friday Overtime £23.54 per hour
- Saturday £23.55 Per Hour
- Saturday Overtime £27.17
- Sunday £23.55
- Sunday Overtime £27.17
- Bank Holidays £23.55
- Bank Holidays Overtime £25.36
Your Time at Work:
- Store deliveries – mainly back‑door deliveries
- Handling a range of products: ambient, chilled, and frozen
- Start times between 00:00 and 03:00
- Main working days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
- 3‑day paid induction and assessment provided before starting
- Ongoing work with a reputable logistics provider
Our Perfect Worker:
- Holds a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digi Tachograph Card
- Minimum 18 months Class 1 experience required
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no IN, DD, or DR offences)
- Reliable, professional, and safety‑focused
