We are currently recruiting a Security Officer to work on an established site in Sunderland. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work on a busy automotive manufacturing site, with a high standard of security needing to be met at all times. If you are in the security industry or are looking for a career change, then this would be perfect for you! We will offer on-site training, as well as career development too.
This is a full-time position working 56 hours per week, covering a 7 on, 3 off / 7 on, 4 off shift pattern. This will mean you need to be fully flexible to work Monday - Sunday, for day and night shifts. Candidates must have a UK manual driving license.
Your Time at Work
As a Security Officer at G4S, you are more than a Security Guard. You'll ensure the safety of our customers' staff, their buildings, and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.
Other duties will include:
- Greeting staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensuring everyone follows the security and safety protocols of the site
- Gatehouse duties
- Conducting searches when required
- Taking delivery of parcels and advising the recipient by phone
- Dealing with any security incidents on site and completing relevant incident report forms

Our Perfect Worker
You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key. It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA license, however, it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) license training. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will need to have a Full, Manual UK Driving License.
