Security Officer — Barnard Castle
Position details
- Position: Security Officer
- Location: Barnard Castle
- Pay Rate: £13.02 per hour
- Type of Job: Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shifts: Monday to Friday — alternating shifts (06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00)
- Requirements: Must have a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle. SIA license preferred.
Your Time at Work
- As a security officer at this site you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring everyone follows the security and safety protocols of the site
- Reporting any faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to site security supervisor
- Controlling access and managing the control system
- Liaising with a variety of people including contractors, site based and corporate staff, and any regulators that come to the site
- Responding to emergency situations
- Carrying out routine tests of security equipment as directed by the site security supervisor
- Monitoring CCTV and being able to replay and download clips as requested
- Fully understanding the use of the IT systems and ensuring the correct application of the IT security policy
- Reporting concerns when property is at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged and vandalised
- Dealing with any security incidents on site and completing relevant incident report forms
