Job Description

Job Title: Driver
Reports to: Operations Manager

  • Paid holidays

Hours: Full-time (flexible hours per week)

Purpose of the Role:
The Driver role is critical to ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of goods to our clients across Northern radius) This position directly impacts customer satisfaction and supports the growth of our business in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Key Requirements

The Driver will take responsibility for the delivery of goods, manage customer relationships, and ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Delivery & Route Management:

  • Plan delivery routes efficiently, liaising with the office to optimise schedules and reduce costs.
  • Load vans accurately, ensuring all customer orders are prepared and delivered in excellent condition.

Customer & Order Management:

  • Operate the mobile invoicing system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounts procedures.
  • Maintain cash balance accountability, reporting any discrepancies and resolving them as required.
  • Obtain signed receipts for delivered goods and report delivery records to accounts.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Perform regular checks on the van to ensure it meets company policy, is clean, and suitable for the route.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, wearing the provided uniform to represent the company while visiting clients.

Customer Focus:

  • Manage customer expectations and foster strong relationships by ensuring a high level of service.

General Duties:

  • Actively promote the company and identify opportunities within the local and business community.
  • Perform other duties as required by senior management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of full driving experience.
  • Must be over 25 years old (to comply with insurance requirements).
  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Strong driving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of routes and local geography.
  • Awareness of safety procedures for loading and unloading goods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous professional driving experience.
