Care Assistant / Support Worker

(Enhanced rates available for additional hours worked)

Hours:

Full-time, Permanent
Typical shifts are 8:00am – 8:00pm, three days per week, with one full weekend off every three weeks (rotational schedule).

Annual Leave:

weeks per year (inclusive of public and bank holidays), increasing with service up to 33 days annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care with dignity, respect, independence, and choice at its core
  • Support service users in day-to-day living and integration into the community
  • Assist with personal care, daily routines, social activities, and life skills development
  • Support service users in setting and achieving individual goals
  • Observe and report changes in service users\’ needs to senior staff
  • Participate in regular reviews and assessments of service users\’ progress
  • Administer or support with medication in line with the organisation\’s Medication Policy
  • Promote service user engagement and respond to concerns or suggestions in a sensitive, professional manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including numeracy
  • Minimum of 1 year\’s experience in a caring role
  • Working knowledge of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities
  • Understanding of behaviours that challenge and how to support individuals effectively
