An exciting opportunity has become available to join Allied Universal as a Security Control Centre Operator, working for a global financial business in London!
As a SCC Operator, you will be part of the Security Control Monitoring Centre team and will help in monitoring and analysing the physical security environment, identifying, and responding to security threats that put the company at risk.
Contract Information:
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off. Flexibility required Monday to Sunday, day and night shift rotation.
Hours per week: 42 hours (average)
SIA Licenses: Security Guarding or Door Supervisor, and CCTV license.
Experience: Over two years in a SSC, SOC or NOC Operator environment.

Your Time at Work
– Fulfil the tasks of an SCC Operator including security monitoring, incident triage, incident response, forensics, and root cause analysis.
– Monitor security & building systems to ensure all highlighted areas of concern are managed in line with the company policies and procedures, including escalation.
– Generate reports, provide security improvement recommendations, and communicate security-related information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
– Provide feedback on changes to standard operating procedures, protocols, and documentation, including assessment-based findings and propositions for further system security enhancement.
– Work collaboratively with peer SCC Operators, recommending and helping drive improvements in processes and systems where required.
– Manage compliance with all Health & Safety Legislation
Our Perfect Worker
– Proven experience as an SCC, SOC or NOC Operator or in a physical security environment.
– Hands-on experience with PSIM or SIEM platforms preferable, and a rudimentary technical understanding of SCC/SOC/NOC or control room functions.
– Knowledge of threat actor approaches, hands-on experience in physical security systems and assets, and familiarity with network security and monitoring tools.
– Two or more years of working in a security, physical or emergency operations centre environment.
– Some knowledge of common security frameworks, standards, and best practices would be beneficial but not essential.
– Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
– Knowledge of incident and crisis management.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively to a high standard.
– Familiar in MS SharePoint and the MS Office productivity suite.
– Strong customer focus skills.
