Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Limavady require an Environmental Warden to join their team.
Hours of work: hrs per week - Hourly Rate: 1-12 weeks £13 weeks + £
Main Duties:
- To participate in the delivery of an effective Environmental Health Service which is customer focused, innovative and value for money.
- To implement and enforce relevant statutory provisions in relation to Dog Control, Litter Control, other Environmental Protection legislation and relevant Council Byelaws for which you are personally authorised to enforce.
- To provide advice and make recommendations to the Public, Commercial and other Government Organisations.
- To comply with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
- Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.
Essential Criteria:
- Five GCSEs (Grades A-C), or equivalent, to include English Language.
- Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples on the application form, one year's experience in an enforcement role to include enforcement of legislation.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge and understanding of current dog related and litter control legislation.
- A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
- Available for response in emergency situations as necessary.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in dog handling in a professional capacity.
- Experience in the use of the Environmental Health Software management package (Tascomi).
