Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Field Sales Specialist on behalf of a leading supplier of homecare, medical & mobility equipment. This is a highly technical sales role which requires competency with a range of tools and programming devices. The successful candidate will join sales team as a specialist in mobility equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Field based sales and review service provision for a diverse range of wheelchairs, mobility scooters and special needs strollers, access equipment and other high value mobility equipment.
  • Demonstrating, advising and educating customers throughout Ireland on a comprehensive range of products and providing assistance to them in carrying out product assessments, product set up and product reviews.
  • Conducting fault finding diagnosis and subsequent repairs on your portfolio of products.
  • Deliveries, collections and handovers of portfolio.
  • Bringing equipment to the customer for demonstration. A company commercial vehicle will be provided.
  • Provision of the highest standards of service to build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Planning & monitoring of sales activities to achieve overall sales and individual product targets for the territory.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer contact and communication and proactively identifying opportunities for business development.
  • Managing your diary effectively to maximise the time spent with customers and ensuring your availability for appointments when requested.
  • Arranging and carrying out Lunch and Learn product awareness training.
  • Creating new customers through planned customer sales visits.
  • Following up on sales visits and maintaining good customer contact.
  • Developing and maintaining an accurate sales contact database.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completely accurately.
  • Ensure all equipment is labelled clearly at all times.
  • Report all issues, adverse situations and product feedback to your line manager.
  • Treating all customers with patience, respect and be aware that many of the customers are disabled or have learning difficulties and require clear communications.
  • Any other duties role may involve.

Person Specification:

  • 3 years field-based sales role gained within the last 5 years OR Qualified Occupational Therapist specialising in Wheelchairs
  • High competency with comprehensive range of tools, fault finding and troubleshooting
  • To be able physically and mentally to carry out all task associated with the role including:Cope with unpredictable clients who may be physically or verbally abusiveCrouching, bending, kneeling & holding awkward positions for long periodsLoading equipment in and out of van usually without assistanceWorking in domestic environments that may have poor lighting, smoky environments etc.
  • Previous Role working within the rehab or mobility trade sectors
