Staffline are working in partnership with a specialist manufacturer of mobility lift solutions based in Carrickfergus, who are seeking a Production Manager to join their team and to lead their manufacturing operations.

Job Role and Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring timely delivery of product to specification and quality standards.
- Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, technicians, and assembly staff.
- Develop and implement production schedules, resource plans, and workflow optimisations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, particularly in relation to mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Collaborate with design, quality, installation and service teams to resolve production issues and support product development.
- Monitor and report on key production metrics (output, efficiency, downtime, quality).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure material availability.
- Support training and development of production staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a light engineering or mechanical/electromechanical manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, ideally with experience managing 50+ staff.
- Solid understanding of mechanical assembly, electrical systems, and safety-critical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with mobility aids, lifting equipment, or similar regulated products is highly desirable.
- Proficient in production planning tools and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing products for the healthcare or accessibility sector.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, CE/UKCA marking, and relevant safety standards (EN 81-41).
- Training in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
