They are now seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join their Head Office finance team. This is a key role within the business, offering responsibility, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust financial controls across the business. You'll be hands-on with the purchase ledger, general ledger, reconciliations, cashflow and month-end processes, while also supporting junior team members and working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing cash books, payments and monthly bank reconciliations
- Overseeing purchase ledger processes, supplier payments and reconciliations
- Maintaining the general ledger, including fixed assets
- Supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close
- Preparing weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts
- Assisting with audit preparation and financial reporting
- Supporting and guiding team members within the finance function
About You
You'll be an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You'll ideally have:
- A recognised finance qualification (IATI / part-qualified accountant or equivalent) or significant hands-on experience
- At least 2 years' experience in a finance role
- Experience managing or supporting others within a finance team
- Strong purchase ledger and reconciliation experience
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
- The right to work in the UK
