An established logistics and transport organisation is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its onsite team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in transport, logistics, or freight operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating daily transport activities to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
Reporting to the local management team, you will play a key role in managing import/export processes, documentation, and liaising with transport partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate day-to-day transport and logistics activities
- Prepare and maintain accurate transport and shipping documentation, including export paperwork and final manifests
- Handle Proof of Delivery (POD) processing and scanning
- Plan, direct, and monitor import and export movements to ensure customer transit times are met
- Book consignments onto internal and third-party freight systems
- Ensure all files are fully costed, completed, and invoiced in a timely manner
- Liaise with transport providers to ensure collection and delivery requirements are met
- Maintain internal systems and records to support the movement of goods
- Monitor performance metrics and assist with KPI preparation
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
- Identify potential issues and escalate risks that may impact service levels or deadlines
- Support the team with ad-hoc administrative and operational tasks as required
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or freight coordination role is desired, full training provided.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator with strong customer service skills
- Computer literate with experience using logistics or transport management systems
- Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
