Our client, a large Public Sector organisation, is seeking an experienced Joiner to join their team and help deliver a modern, professional, and responsive service to tenants. You'll play a vital role in maintaining and refurbishing housing stock, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of joinery tasks, including fitting kitchens, repairing/replacing doors, windows, flooring, fencing, roofing, guttering, plasterboarding, and finishing works.
- Undertake multi-skilled tasks such as basic plastering, plumbing, painting, tiling, and flooring repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service, liaising directly with tenants and ensuring properties are left safe, clean, and tidy.
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, using PPE, tools, equipment and lone working devices safely and responsibly.
- Accurately complete paperwork and electronic job records within set timescales.
- Support colleagues by mentoring apprentices, training new staff, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out cover on a rota basis.
Essential Criteria
- Applicants must demonstrate NVQ Level 2 in joinery.
- Competence across a range of joinery tasks, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements in a maintenance/repair environment.
- Skills in communication and customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Accurate record keeping and attention to detail.
- A full, current driving licence.
