Warehouse Shift Manager Permanent, Full-time Please note: Working hours 11am-8.30pm, due to the nature of the business and shipments, flexibility is essential, and you may be required to adjust your working hours accordingly, for the needs of the business Supporting the business, to ensure the safe and efficient daily management of the depot, to motivate and develop the teams and reduce errors and avoidable cost to the business. This is a hands on role – involvement in loading and unloading vehicles as well as management of the depot In your role as Warehouse Shift Manager: Daily management of the depot customer, delivery service, ensuring all goods-in, goods-out, inventory replenishment activity is carried out in a timely and accurate manner Coaching, development and motivation of staff, ensuring all relevant HR policies are followed. Supervising of all staff on shift, Warehouse operatives and delivery drivers To provide effective support to the Transport Manager to ensure constant improvement in all areas of the operation. Manage communications with service providers and Company stakeholders Ensure all site H&S and MHE checks are completed as required Ensuring warehouse housekeeping is kept to a high standard Management and reporting on non-inventory assets (Pump trucks, vehicle kit stock, basic vehicle maintenance items etc) to minimise operational disruption and cost. Ensuring warehouse process systems are being followed and are correctly updated Ensuring stock management/stock takes/discrepancies are completed and reported on a daily basis Ensuring safe loading and unloading of vehicles whilst monitoring loading operatives. Who are we looking for? Good communicator who’s able to positively engage with team members and relevant stakeholders. Strong leadership experience Strong H&S knowledge Knowledge of WMS Excellent motivation skills; able to identify and address staff issues and concerns. Must be able to lead by example and champion the values of the Company.
