Staffline are hiring Technical Operators/Machine Technicians for permanent job opportunities. The role involves a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, nights from 6pm to 6am. Please note, training will take place on day shifts.
Salary: Nights - £34,200
We are looking for experienced Machine Technicians. Our ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical skills.
In your new role as a Machine Technician/Technical Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Operation of bespoke machines
- Performing quality control
- Performing technical cleaning of equipment
- Repairing/refurbishing components used in the machines
- Maintaining tools/toolboxes to ensure all tools are at hand
- Upholding the cleanliness of the Production workshop
- Preventative and reactive maintenance of automated Production lines
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety practices
- Assisting external software support with good communication skills to resolve issues/concerns with the Production machines
- Actively looking to improve productivity and sharing this drive with other shifts
- Training others in due course
Key Skills and Experience required:
- Electrical/Mechanical experience advantageous
- Pneumatic maintenance experience
- Analytical and basic computer skills
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings, and manuals
- Ability to fault find to component level
- Understanding of production planning to ensure production flow
- Excellent time management
- Able to work under pressure
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to understand and challenge data
