Staffline are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Night Flyer Van Drivers to join our team in South Elmsall. As a van driver, you will have the opportunity to work through our agency, representing a highly reputable retail company. This may lead to a permanent role with the client.
The role primarily involves RDC/store deliveries, not home deliveries, providing a consistent workload throughout the year. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and weekend working is essential. We offer paid induction training to ensure your success in the role.
The pay rates for the role of van driver are as follows:
- Days 06:00 to 22:00 - £12.86
- Nights 22:00 to 06:00 - £15.43
- Overtime Days after 40hrs - £16.72
- Overtime Nights after 40hrs - £20.06
- Bank Holiday Days - £25.72
- Bank Holiday Nights - £30.86
We are delighted to offer Night Shifts starting between 21:00 and 03:00. Our ideal candidate would be flexible to work weekends. We can accommodate all working patterns but would ask for you to be available for at least one day of the weekend. The more flexible you are, the more work there is! Work is available across all 7 days.
Your Time at Work: As a Night Flyer Van driver, the work will involve mostly RDC work with cross country routes. You will be rewarded with excellent pay and working conditions, as well as offering flexible working options and ad hoc odd shifts to suit. You will be fully competent in driving vehicles to the highest of standards providing a first class service to all customers whilst working within the company's procedures and guidelines, to ensure the smooth flow of the operation and customer expectations are met. Manual Handling is involved but each item will be no more than 15kg.
If you are successful in your interview stage you will be required to complete a site assessment.
Our Perfect Worker: As a van driver, you will ideally have:
- Car licence for more than 1 year (Cat B)
- No more than 6 points
- Proven experience as a van driver, preferably in store deliveries (desirable, not essential)
- Good knowledge of the Doncaster area and its surrounding regions
- Excellent driving record and understanding of road traffic regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle goods with care
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work weekends as it is an essential requirement
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
