LGV1, HGV1, C+E, LGV 1, HGV 1 CLASS 1 DRIVERS WELCOME REGULAR ROTA FOR SEASONAL PERIOD FULL TIME – PART TIME – WEEKENDS Staffline is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers for the seasonal peak August to January for our client based out of Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows: Days (06:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 13:59 Fridays) – £16.40 per hour Nights (18:00 – 05:59 Monday to Friday) – £17.30 per hour Weekends (Friday 14:00 to Sunday 23:59) – £21.70 per hour Overtime – £24.60 per hour on Days / £25.95 per hour on Nights Bank Holiday Days – £24.60 per hour Bank Holiday Nights – £25.95 per hour On top of these peak rates, there will be a 2x retainer bonus totalling £1.50ph. – One paid Monthly based on punctuality and efficiency at 50p per hour – One paid in January based on attendance at £1 per hour AM shifts are available between Monday to Saturday with start times between 01:00 and 06:30. PM shifts are available between Sunday to Saturday with start times between 14:30 and 22:00. All shifts are planned, confirmed at least one week in advance. Assessments and inductions are to take place during July and August in anticipation for the work to begin in mid-August. This work is seasonal will remain in place until the end of December 2025! Following this seasonal contract, we will have other local work that we will be able to offer you! Your Time at Work As an HGV Class 1 driver, the work will involve Class 1 depot delivery work. You will be responsible for all aspects of trunking work throughout East Midlands and other counties. This position requires NO HEAVY MANUAL HANDLING, only occasional collections and deliveries of cages via a tail lift. Our client\’s continuous growth is a testimony to their increasing success and this site operates all year round so will provide each driver with a long term ongoing assignment.
