Staffline is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers with immediate starts for our client based out of Tadcaster. We have adhoc work available on days and nights and some full-time shift patterns. Flexibility to work on days or nights would be ideal and would open opportunities to more work.

PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday Days - £17.03 per hour / OT after 10 hours £22.65
  • Monday to Friday Nights - £18.05 per hour / OT after 10 hours £24.01
  • Bank Holiday Day - £34.06 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Nights - £36.10 per hour

Drivers are guaranteed 10 hours per shift. Staffline are delighted to offer regular work on day or night shifts working adhoc. Shift start times between 5AM - 8AM Monday to Friday for days and from 5PM - 7.30PM Sunday to Thursday for nights.

A paid assessment will need to be completed prior to commencing work on this site. This may include and will not be limited to: a drug and alcohol test, a written theory test, vehicle checks and a drive on the road with the assessor.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your work will involve Class 1 Depot Delivery work. You will be responsible for all aspects of trunking work throughout Yorkshire and other counties. This position requires NO HEAVY MANUAL HANDLING, FLT to load and unload, however you will be responsible for securing the vehicle load so must be comfortable using straps and nets to secure. Drivers will be required to open and close the vehicle curtains. New Modern Fleet of vehicles with 1 to 2 drops per day.

As an experienced LGV1 driver, you will ideally have:

  • Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience
  • No more than 6 points
  • Digi card and DCPC
