Staffline are recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based in Sherburn in Elmet, LS25. Minimum 6 months experience required for this role.

Working Patterns: Sunday to Thursday, Tuesday to Saturday. Starting either 04:00 - 06:00 or 13:00 - 16:00. Guaranteed 5 shifts on the Sunday-Thursday/Tuesday-Saturday pattern!

PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

  • Days: £18.75 per hour
  • Nights: £19.50 per hour
  • Saturday: £20.25 per hour
  • Sunday: £21 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Day: £22 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Night: £25 per hour

Your Time at Work: We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team, delivering totes, pallets, and black boxes to stores and RDCs across local and regional routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of totes, pallets, and black boxes to stores and distribution centres
  • Operating tail lifts, pump trucks, and dock levellers
  • Completing 1-4 drops per trailer (typically 1 run, occasionally 2 per shift)
  • Ensuring safe and efficient loading/unloading of goods
  • Carrying out store deliveries, some of which involve tight access and reversing

We are mainly looking for drivers to any shift pattern across a 7 day period. All patterns considered. The busiest days are between Thursday to Sunday.

Shift start times: 04:00 for Days, 11:00 - 13:00 Afternoons.

Our Perfect Worker: As an experienced HGV1 Driver you will ideally have:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Minimum 6 months experience
  • Confident with reversing and manoeuvring in tight spaces
  • Comfortable with an element of manual handling
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude
  • No more than 6 points
  • Digi card and DCPC
