Staffline is recruiting full time professional HGV Class 1 shunter drivers to come and work at our client's distribution centre based in Stanford le Hope.

Work pattern is 4 on 4 off.

PAYE Rates for the role of HGV Class 1 shunter driver are as follows:

  • Days - £19.00 per hour
  • Nights - £20.90 per hour
  • Days Overtime (After 40 hours) - £28.50 per hour
  • Nights Overtime (After 40 hours) - £31.45 per hour

Your Time at Work

As a Class 1 shunter driver, the work will involve shunting trailers in and out of bays, moving trailers around the yard ensuring the safe and legal operation of your vehicle at all times. In return for your commitment we can offer regular shifts and start times that suit you. We have other sites locally that work will be available at if for any reasons shifts are not available.

As an HGV Class 1 shunter driver, you will ideally have:

  • 6 months C+E experience
  • No more than 6 points
  • Digi card and DQC
  • Previous experience of shunting would be an advantage
