Are you an experienced Hatchery Operative with team leader experience? If so, we are looking for you for this great opportunity with our client. The rate of pay is £14.24. This is a full-time role, and the hours of work are: 0415 - 1530hrs, 4 days from six on a rolling 6 week cycle.
As a Hatchery team leader, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the department in the smooth, efficient, economic daily operation of the hatchery.
- Maintaining and improving standards of hatcheries, chick quality, hygiene, chick welfare, and overall hatchery performance.
- Organising daily work routines, paperwork, and scheduling.
- Maintaining and monitoring the hygiene programme, ensuring the tidiness and cleanliness of the hatchery to required standards.
- Developing and maintaining a sound working knowledge of all hatchery equipment.
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to within your areas of responsibility, maintaining a safe working environment for all people at all times.
- Ensuring all aspects of animal welfare are understood and upheld fully, particularly when handling chicks.
- Giving necessary attention to all aspects of hatchery operation which may affect hatchability and chick quality.
- Reporting immediately to the Manager / Assistant Manager any occurrence which could affect hatchery performance relating to product, equipment, or labour.
- Contributing positively to good communications between all levels of management and operatives so that people are motivated and aware of all issues relating to their work.
