Stafflex are currently recruiting for a Planner and Purchasing role for our client based in Wythenshawe. The purpose of this role is to ensure materials, components and services are ordered and available in line with production targets. Our client is a large engineering company and experience in a similar environment would be ideal.
Job responsibilities:
- Plan and maintain production/ material schedules to meet customer requirements
- Manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in item details, quantities, pricing and delivery dates.
- Monitor stock levels, taking action to prevent shortages and excess stock
- Work alongside production, warehouse, operations and the finance team to align planning and purchasing activities
- Review supplier performance, pricing, quality and delivery performance
- Support material requirements, and schedule changes in response to production issues
- Produce stock reports, purchasing and supply performance
Job Skills/ Requirements:
- Experience in production planning, purchasing or supply chain admin in manufacturing is very advantageous
- Strong understanding of stock control and material planning
- Strong IT skills especially in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
