Machine Operator
Location – Liversedge
Duration – Temporary – Permanent
Hours – 38.5 hours per week. Day shift 8am – 4:30pm – must be flexible to work shifts as this will soon be introduced (AM and PM rotating)
Salary – £12.21p/h, once fully trained rising to £14.30p/h
Are you a motivated, hands-on individual with experience in the textile industry? Do you pay great attention to detail? Stafflex is now recruiting for an experienced Non-Woven Machine Operator. If this sounds like you, now is the time to join our client, UK\’s leading manufacturer of non-woven textiles.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery used in the production of non-woven felt. Training will be provided on the machine with a training period that could last up to 6 months, depending on the individual\’s aptitude and progress.
The role requires a reliable individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Duties:
- All aspects of operating textile machinery:
- Supervising the process
- Feeding fibres into the machine
- Machine minding
- Thorough cleaning between batches
- Loading / unloading
- Goods in / Goods out
- General housekeeping duties
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in carding and or felt / non-woven manufacturing
- FLT Licence would be desirable
- Able to flexibly work rotating shift patterns
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Good Level of physical fitness
- Willingness to work
- Positive attitude towards work
- Responsibility and reliability
