Salary: £35K - Negotiable
Our client is a large plastic extrusion and injection moulding manufacturer with large blue chip clients and they are in the process of expanding their production. This opportunity is for a skilled setter/technician to join the company as they set up their new injection moulding department which will include new machines and robots. They are promoting a 4 day working week and there is further potential for progression in the future and the possibility of the department growing through continued success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Change over of tools and trailing any new jobs
- Optimising efficiency of the other jobs and resolving any issues relating to production in a timely manner
- Monitor the quality of the moulds to ensure they comply with regular quality checks and minimise the moulds sent to scrap
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure the 5S standards are followed throughout the manufacturing
- Liaising with production planners in regards to any problems that occur and assisting where possible with any amendments/repairs
- Ensuring a smooth handover at the end of every shift

- Past experience within a similar role
- Good knowledge of injection moulding processes
