Hours: 4-day working week (compressed hours, Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri)

We are working on behalf of a leading manufacturer in the valve and process industry, who are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join their team in Elland. This hands-on role involves precision inspection, measurement, and control of components and finished products, helping to safeguard product quality and support continuous improvement across the business.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in dimensional inspection and confident use of CMMs - particularly Faro Arm, Fixed CMMs, and software including Aberlink and PC-DMis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection of components and assemblies.
  • Operate a range of CMM equipment (Faro Arm, Fixed CMMs) and associated software (Aberlink, PC-DMis).
  • Assist with the daily operations of the Quality Control department.
  • Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and provide containment on quality issues.
  • Liaise with customers, auditors, and third-party inspectors.
  • Support Goods Receiving, In-Process, and Final Inspection.
  • Provide technical support and problem resolution on internal and external quality issues.
Key Requirements:
  • Time-served apprentice in a Quality or Manufacturing discipline.
  • Proven experience using CMMs including Faro Arm, Fixed CMMs, Aberlink and PC-DMis.
  • Comfortable working in a shop-floor environment.
  • Knowledge of alloys, casting, NDT, welding and coating processes (advantageous).
  • Experience with SAP (Desirable).
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on approach to inspection work.
