Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: 33,000 – 35,000 per annum Depending on Experience
Hours: 39 hours per week Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm & Friday 8am–1pm
Contract: Permanent

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well–established industrial manufacturing firm, specialising in the design and development of complex assemblies . The role will involve 2D and 3D design, and requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience within Industrial Design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex assemblies for manufacture.
- Re–engineer existing products to improve performance and efficiency.
- Create detailed technical drawings and manufacturing instructions .
- Oversee the full manufacturing process to ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- Industry experience in mechanical design and development (ideally two or more years).
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and precision machined components .
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).
