Are you a passionate, caring, and nurturing individual with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Stafflex Education is currently recruiting SEND Support Workers to work across welcoming and supportive primary schools in Huddersfield and the wider Kirklees area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives while benefiting from flexible, part-time work.

About the Role

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN within primary school settings
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning, development, and emotional wellbeing
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including communication, behavioural, and learning challenges
  • Assist the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support strategies
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar)
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
  • Passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to adapt to different school environments and pupil needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
