Stafflex are recruiting for a skilled MIG Welder to join a well-established manufacturing environment in producing high-quality steel products. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their welding standards and can work efficiently, to a consistent and repeatable process.
You will be MIG welding mild steel components, working from pre-cut and pre-formed parts using jigs to ensure accuracy to completing full welds. There is also an opportunity to work with robotic welding equipment depending on experience. This is a production-focused role where quality, consistency and attention to detail are critical.
Key Responsibilities:- MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard
- Using jigs to position parts and tack weld prior to final welding
- Completing full welds either manually or using robotic welding cells
- Working to weekly production schedules and batch targets
- Carrying out a small amount of MMA welding where required
- Ensuring all finished products meet quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Proven experience in MIG welding is essential
- Ability to produce clean, consistent welds on mild steel
- Experience working with jigs and fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Comfortable working in a production or batch environment
- Basic MMA Welding experience is desirable, but not essential
- Reliable, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
