Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND
  • Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), learning difficulties, and additional educational needs
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement
  • Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs, and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
