Stafflex Education is recruiting experienced Secondary SEND Teaching Assistants for flexible supply, long-term, and temporary school support roles across secondary schools in Kirklees and Calderdale for the 2026/2027 academic year. Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND
- Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), learning difficulties, and additional educational needs
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement
- Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs, and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
