Location: Huddersfield
Stafflex are currently working with a local engineering/manufacturing business for a Quality Inspector to carry out inspection of goods received, components and goods outwork. The role will mainly revolve around carrying out detailed inspection with calibrated equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity with a long-established firm that provides great security and a positive work environment.
Key Duties:
- Carrying out detailed inspection of components
- Use of micrometers, verniers, depth micrometers, metric ring gauges and soft thread comparators
- Carrying out goods in inspection of all outwork
- Checking all raw material deliveries meet expected requirements
- Ensuring all measuring equipment, gauges and associated equipment are calibrated and maintained to required specification
- Recording and reporting defects and non-conformities
- Checking material certification complies with Quality System requirements
- Identifying and reporting trends where quality issues arise
- Cover for other inspectors as required
- Carrying out in-house training where required
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in Quality Inspection - Engineering preferred
- Understanding the use of calibrated equipment
- Local to Huddersfield
- Able to work independently and demonstrate a good work ethic
