Location: Halifax

Hourly Rate: £13.11 p/h

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 3:30pm (Overtime currently available, flexibility to work up to 12-hour shifts is required)

Stafflex are currently recruiting for a 50/50 warehouse/FLT operative to join a busy logistics and manufacturing operation in Halifax. This is a hands-on role that is split between forklift and warehouse duties. We're looking for someone reliable, flexible and happy to get involved across the logistics operation.

Duties include:

  • Operating a counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Moving work in progress and materials around site
  • Supplying production lines with materials and packaging
  • Removing completed or excess goods from production areas
  • Packing finished goods ready for despatch, including wrapping and labelling
  • Loading finished goods onto vehicles for despatch
  • Completing stock and goods movements using internal MRP system
  • Providing product weight and dimensions for shipping purposes
  • Maintaining a high standard of warehouse housekeeping
  • Supporting colleagues and working as part of a wider team
  • Working independently when required
  • Assisting with training and becoming multi-skilled across the department

Requirements:

  • A valid Counterbalance FLT (ITSAAR / RTITB) is required, applicants without an in-date license will not be considered
  • Previous experience in warehousing/logistics environments
  • Willingness to work overtime and 12-hour shifts when required
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • A driving license and access to transport is highly desirable due to the location and shift times.
