Duration: Temporary to permanent
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 3:30pm (30 mins for lunch and 2 x 10mins breaks during the day)
Pay: £13.21, (review in April 2026 and annually thereafter)
Stafflex are looking for a Sewing Machinist to join our client, a leading manufacturer of pre-school, nursery, and primary school educational products.
The Job: As a Sewing Machinist, you will be a crucial part of manufacturing. You will use industrial sewing machines and overlockers to complete the tasks. The products you would be involved in making are (but are not limited to):
- Aprons
- Tabards
- Overalls
- Tablecloths
- Special Needs Soft Play
- Soft Furniture and Cushions
- Play mats
- Vinyl Backdrops
Experience with industrial sewing machines and overlockers is desirable, but full training will be provided. Knowledge of domestic sewing is also advantageous.
