Location: Sowerby Bridge

Pay: £13.50 p/h, rising to £15.61 after successful probation

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (40 hours per week)

Following the successful completion of the 12-week probation period, you may move onto a weekly rotating shift pattern:

  • Early: 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Late: 2:00pm - 10:30pm

The Role:

Stafflex are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer for a Production Operative to join their team in Sowerby Bridge. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that manufactures large products. Full training will be provided, making this a great role for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career.

Working as part of an experienced production team, you will be involved in the manufacture of specialist components using industrial machinery and production equipment.

Duties will include:

  • Operating production machinery and manufacturing equipment
  • Working to production schedules and quality standards
  • Using hand tools and measuring equipment, including vernier gauges and tape measures
  • Handling materials safely and following health and safety procedures
  • Completing basic production records using computer systems
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the production area

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Is hardworking, reliable and eager to learn
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Has good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Has basic computer skills
  • Can use hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Has a stable work history with a strong work ethic

Desirable:

  • Experience working with chemicals or industrial manufacturing processes
  • Experience operating large machinery such as presses, moulds or similar equipment
  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
