Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (40 hours per week)
Following the successful completion of the 12-week probation period, you may move onto a weekly rotating shift pattern:
- Early: 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Late: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
The Role:
Stafflex are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer for a Production Operative to join their team in Sowerby Bridge. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that manufactures large products. Full training will be provided, making this a great role for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career.
Working as part of an experienced production team, you will be involved in the manufacture of specialist components using industrial machinery and production equipment.
Duties will include:
- Operating production machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Working to production schedules and quality standards
- Using hand tools and measuring equipment, including vernier gauges and tape measures
- Handling materials safely and following health and safety procedures
- Completing basic production records using computer systems
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the production area
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Is hardworking, reliable and eager to learn
- Can work independently as well as part of a team
- Has good numeracy and literacy skills
- Has basic computer skills
- Can use hand tools and measuring equipment
- Has a stable work history with a strong work ethic
Desirable:
- Experience working with chemicals or industrial manufacturing processes
- Experience operating large machinery such as presses, moulds or similar equipment
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
