We are working with a leading manufacturer in Huddersfield who are looking to bring on a Machine Operative to join their production team. Your role will be to operate a range of manufacturing equipment and associated machines involving plastics and textiles.
Duties:
- Operate machines following the correct operating procedures to achieve specified target output and product quality standards.
- Using a counterbalance FLT with fork, boom and clamp attachments, safely move raw materials and finished goods to and from the machines.
- Comply with the Company Health and Safety policy, procedure and risk assessments.
- Follow the manufacturing instructions in accordance with the works orders to achieve the production plan and customer orders.
- Accurate and timely completion of company paperwork.
- Ensure that raw material, bought in goods and manufactured products meet quality standards.
- Support all aspects of production and perform additional tasks as required.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience working in a similar role (advantageous).
- FLT C/B Licence (advantageous).
- Competent, honest and punctual.
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication.
- Able to work as part of a team showing flexibility to assist in other duties and tasks as required.
- Flexibility in working hours, including overtime to meet business needs.
