The predicted salary is between 12 - 14 £ per hour.
Location: Huddersfield
Pay: £12.71 - £13.79
Duration: 12 week Temporary - Permanent
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Will be shift based which rotate weekly and will be the hours of Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm and Mon - Thurs 9.45am - 6pm and Fri 9.45am - 3.15pm.
All candidates must be flexible to work between 6am - 10pm as shifts can change according to demand / workload with notice.
Stafflex are actively recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful furniture manufacturer with over 30 years' experience within the industry for a Warehouse Operative / FLT driver. This is a temporary - permanent opportunity with an immediate start following successful interview.
Role and Responsibilities:
- 65% Warehouse - 35% FLT Counterbalance and PPT operating
- Picking orders - Use of pick sheets and scanners
- Allocating stock within the factory to specific areas
- Wrapping, Labelling items / orders
- Computer input
- Active role - involves a lot of steps and is a physical role; however, heavy lifting is minimal.
Essential skills needed for the role:
- Counterbalance FLT license (valid and in-date within last 3 years, RTITB / ITSSAR)
- PPT (valid and in-date, RTITB / ITSSAR) - desirable but not essential
- Good IT Skills (Excel, Outlook and Word) for data entry and inventory.
- Good level of physical fitness - roles require a lot of walking and can be on average 15k steps per day.
- Full UK Drivers license needed due to operating FLT across public road.
The successful candidate will need to hold BOTH UK drivers license and Counterbalance FLT licenses. Manual Handling experience is advantageous but not essential as training can / will be given. Please be aware this job is not solely FLT driving and will require you to work flexibly within the warehouse / production department as and when needed.
