Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 3pm and Fri 6am - 12pm
Hourly rate: £13.50 - £14.50 DOE (Higher rates offered to fabricators with strong system knowledge and proven experience with key machinery.)
Stafflex is recruiting experienced Aluminium Fabricators for a leading glazing specialist with over 30 years in the industry. If you're motivated, detail-focused, and looking to build your career, we want to hear from you.
Role Purpose:
To fabricate, assemble and finish high-quality aluminium products in line with technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and safe working practices in the workshop.
Your duties will include:
- Read and interpret cutting sheets, technical drawings and fabrication manuals.
- Operate fabrication machinery including saws, copy routers, end millers and crimpers.
- Use hand tools such as drills, tape measures and squares to mark out and assemble components.
- Carry out manual handling and general workshop duties.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and required tolerances.
Desired experience / competencies include:
- Experience manufacturing aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling or similar products.
- Knowledge of one or more profile systems, such as: Technal, Wicona, Senior Aluminium Systems, Reynaers, Kawneer, Cortizo, Smarts.
- Strong accuracy in measuring, cutting and fitting.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to spot and resolve build issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
