We are actively recruiting for a Textile Operative on behalf of our client, a specialist textile company. Role and Responsibilities: Your main purpose will be to prepare yarn packages ready for warping and weaving. Prepare raw materials for warping and weaving process Ensuring the correct materials are available in accordance with production schedule plans and are labelled correctly. Maintain quality standards by checking materials and process documentation, reporting any defects or non-conforming products to a team leader in a timely manner. Ensure materials have completed their process. Store and account materials correctly so they are available for production when required. React to plan board needs and changes.Advantageous Skills / Experience Experience of woven textiles Knowledge of textile materials (yarns) Experience of working in a fast-paced environment Experience of working with both warping and weaving Basic computer skills to be able to use iSeriesEssentials Competencies: Great eye for detail when handling and processing. Excellent communication skills. Computer literate. A positive and enthusiastic approach to work. The ability to prioritise and organise your own workload.
